LPB gets grant for educational programming

By Mark Lamport-Stokes April 4 (Reuters) - Once again, the eyes of the golfing world will be firmly fixed on Augusta National, the spiritual home of the American game and the only permanent venue for any of the four majors, as it stages the 77th Masters in Augusta, Georgia, next week. The immaculate, par-72 layout, affectionately regarded as the 'Cathedral of Pines,' was originally designed by Alister Mackenzie and Bobby Jones and it has hosted the opening major of the season since 1934.
